Many parents around the country are getting ready to, or have already started to send their kids to school! My kids started last week and oh the peace and quiet! The kids aren't at each other's throats AS MUCH since they get a break from each other during school! My kids LOVE to show their school pride by wearing their school colors as much as possible. We are the East Union Eagles and our colors are Blue and White. Thank goodness my kids like blue! LOL
A while back, Salena Baca from Salena Baca Crochet had a drawing that I won for some amazing Red Heart yarn! In with this amazing package of yarn was some Team Spirit yarn! And guess what!??! It was Blue and White! WHAAAAAAT!??!?! Talk about perfect! As soon as my son saw this yarn he started jumping up and down asking me to write him a pattern for a hat! So, what's a crochet mom to do!?!? Of course, I wrote a pattern. But, I didn't JUST write a pattern, I combined some new techniques and BOOM, Connor's Pride Hat was born! I love the look of the Herringbone Double Crochet stitch but I also love how linked stitches look. So, after a TON of practice, trials and errors, I have the pattern released! Head on over to my ravelry listing here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/connors-pride-hat and see what the fuss is all about. My son LOVES his hat and wears it all time. Even in Iowa in August! Any and all love and hearts would be SUPER appreciated. Grab your copy and make a hat! Come back here or on my facebook page and show me your goods! I absolutely LOVE seeing what people create from the patterns I've written. Add them to your projects on Ravelry! I love featuring projects from others on my listings! Again, here's the pattern link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/connors-pride-hat Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT day! Darcy

I love to crochet for my family, my friends and for others. I find my peace from a crazy day or just to relax and get my creative side going when I pick up a hook and yarn. This blog is my favorite pattern links, favorite projects I've completed and just some general crochet fun! Archives
